ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security forces successfully eliminated 15 terrorists during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 15–16, 2025, according to the military’s media wing.

The intelligence-based operations targeted members of the Indian-backed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also referred to as Fitna-ul-Khawarij, including key leaders. These actions were part of the ongoing counter-terrorism initiative, “Azm-e-Istehkam.”

As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), one operation took place in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District, following credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to Fitna-ul-Khawarij. Security forces engaged the insurgents, resulting in the elimination of ten militants, including their top leader, Alam Mehsud.

In a second operation in North Waziristan’s Datta Khel tehsil, five more terrorists were neutralized. Clearance operations are ongoing in both areas to ensure no remaining threats persist.

The ISPR highlighted that these operations are a continuation of the Federal Apex Committee’s directives under the National Action Plan to eliminate terrorism backed by external forces and secure lasting peace in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the successful missions, commending the dedication of the country’s security forces. He stated that under the banner of determination and stability, significant progress is being made in the fight against terrorism, further affirming the government’s pledge to fully eradicate it.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the bravery and professionalism of the troops. He remarked that once again, the security forces have thwarted the malicious designs of Indian-sponsored militants and assured that efforts to establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue until every last terrorist is neutralized.
