The Under-19 World Cup will start in South Africa from Friday, Jan 19,2024. Sixteen junior teams will compete for a trophy until February 11. India is defending the title and has won the Junior World Cup five time. Australia has won the Junior Trophy three time and Pakistan twice.
The Under-Nineteen World Cup started as the Youth World Cup in 1980. Australia became the first youth champion. The 15th Under-19 World Cup is starting from Friday, January 19 in South Africa. Under the leadership of Khalid Latif, Pakistan won the first Under Nineteen World Cup in 2004 and managed to defend the title two years later under the leadership of Sarfaraz Ahmed. This time the leadership of Pakistan is entrusted to Saad Beg. In which sixteen participating teams have been divided into four groups. The opening match will be played between the hosts South Africa and West Indies at Posafstrom
The second match between Ireland and USA will be played in Bloom Fountain on Friday.
