Younus Khan has reached closer to major milestone as he only required 544 runs in order to complete 10,000 runs and he will be first Pakistani player to perform this feat.
Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar was the first player who had achieved this milestone in Test cricket against Pakistan after which, Allan Border has obtained this feat in 1993.
Australian and Indian three each players have achieved this milestone. Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara and Brian Lara completed 10,000 runs in 195 innings.
Star batsman Younus Khan has scored 9,456 runs in 193 innings.
