Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has fined two players of national cricket team for gross violation of discipline over presence of women in the players room.
The BCB has fined 15 K dollars each to fast bowler Al-Amin Husssain and batsman Shabir Rehman in gross violation of discipline committed during Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T-20 tournament.
The board said that the players are fined that they could feel responsibility as being national players and they are warned as well that repetition of these sought of gross violations of discipline in future can be resulted into severe punishments against players.
The BCB did not inform the press about the details of allegations on the players but newspapers reports said that women of foreign origin were found in the players rooms.
It is pertinent to mention here Rs 1.5 million fine is the largest fine in the Bangladesh cricket history. Al-Amin Hussain and Shabir Rahman have also deprived of 50 % and 30% match fees of the BPL respectively.
Al-Amin Hussain is representing Barisal Bulls while Shabir Rahman is playing for Raj Shahi Kings.
