Karachi: Killings of people by heavy traffic could not be controlled yet in Karachi as a bloody water tanker run over elderly man in Saeedabad area of Baldiya Town Karachi tonight.
The police apprised as per an initial report that the deceased was a resident of near-by street and he was going to offering prayers while he was identified as 75-year-old Arif Khan.
The Police added that the tanker driver fled the scene while the police transported the tanker to the police station saving it from enraged mob who wanted to torch the heavy vehicle.
The owner and driver of the tanker search are underway, the police said.
In another accident, a 17-year-old Zaman was dies on the spot as a bus hit his motorcycle near Saleem Center in North Karachi while his accomplice Muhammad Amir was sustained injuries.
Body and injured were shifted to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital.
On the other hand, a citizen travelling on his car shot dead an alleged robber in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
The alleged mugger identified as Muhammad Nabeel. The police apprised that the robber has remained in jail for his earlier crimes.
