Karachi: A contingent of law enforcing agencies, has carried out a joint operation in Serena mobile market situated at Sakhi Hassan Roundabout in North Nazimabad in which as many as 25 persons arrested over allegations of doing business of stolen mobiles and other illegal activities.
The Joint operation by police and rangers personnel conducted as trading of stolen mobiles and other illegal affairs were continued in the market.
Talking about the operation the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Arif Aslam Rao said that operation conducted over information of illegal sell of stolen mobiles and other illegal businesses related to mobiles.
The SSP Rao briefed that 25 persons have taken into custody besides that devices used to change EMEI numbers were also recovered in the operation.
The law enforcement agencies have assured that arrested persons if found to be innocent will be released.
It is pertinent to mention that the police and rangers had also conducted operation in the market 20 days ago.
