Will Continue To Fight for People of Pakistan Till Last Point.PM

Islamabad (July 14, 2017): Reiterating his decision not to resign from office, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that God willing he will continue to fight for the people of Pakistan till the last point.

According to the details, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that there was not a single word on corruption by me in the report submitted by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Panama Leaks case.

Chairing a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) parliamentary leaders, the premier said he refused to do National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) in Musharraf era despite several efforts.

Addressing the participants, the premier said the country has been going through ups and downs in the last 70 years, adding that governments have been dismissed in the country on accusations of corruption and being a ‘security risk’ in the past.

Sharif said he has done nothing wrong and that his conscience is clear.

Indirectly referring to the anti-electoral rigging sit-in by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2014, the premier said preparations are under way for a third ‘dharna’.

He said in the last four decades, he set up various development projects, including power generation schemes and motorways, in Karachi and Punjab but not a single allegation of corruption has surfaced.

“No political family has ever presented itself for accountability the way we have,” he said, adding that he never made any deals or signed NROs with anyone to save their skin.

He said that governments have always been dismissed on corruption charges and security risks and that the Sharif family has been targeted over its business matters spanning over sixty two years with assumptions and allegations.

Nawaz Sharif said we launched operation against terrorists with the consultation of armed forces and backbone of terrorists has been broken. He said economy of the country is progressing and if there would be no negative politics, hopefully we will achieve the growth rate of six and seven percent and even beyond.

He said the controversial report by the controversial JIT is a bundle of baseless allegations of our opponents.

The Prime Minister said the Sharif family has been targeted over its business matters spanning over 62 years with assumptions and allegations.

He said there is no single sentence, which points out corruption committed by Nawaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister said there is not a single case of corruption or malpractice against Shahbaz Sharif and myself during our tenures in the past.

The Prime Minister said unjustified campaign against government was launched soon after the elections of 2013.He regretted that elements creating political instability and uncertainty are damaging the country.

The Prime Minister said stock market after touching 54,000 benchmark is now witnessing downward trend due to negative situation created in the country.

He said number of power projects was launched during this tenure and several have been completed.

He said who will hold accountable those who are pushing the country towards darkness.

Various PML-N’s parliamentary leaders including enraged Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan and Armaghan Subhani also attended the session. The participants welcomed the premier with clapping.

It is the fourth high-level meeting to take place since Monday when JIT submitted the report in Supreme Court (SC) on against Sharif family.

Earlier on Thursday, PM Nawaz, while chairing the Federal Cabinet meeting, said that the language used in the report has shown dishonesty of the investigation team. He said that we are running family business since 1937.
