Former President Asif Ali Zardari Turns 61 Today

Karachi(July 26, 2017):  Former President and co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari is celebrating his 61st birthday today.

In Lahore, party workers marked the day by distributing “Langar” (food) amongst the poor outside Data Darbar.

They also released pigeons on the occasion. Special prayers were offered for long life of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Speaking on the occasion, ex-information secretary PPP Lahore, Faisal Mir said that due to his unmatched sacrifices for the party and democracy, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto would call Asif Ali Zardari as “Nelson Mandela of Pakistan”. Mir further said that after the assassination Benazir Bhutto, it was Asif Ali Zardari who foiled all the conspiracies hatched against the PPP.

Ex-Incharge People Labour Bureau Abdul Qadir Shaheen said that it was due to the sharp vision of Asif Ali Zardari that he managed to become first democratically elected President of Pakistan and completed his term in office and handed over presidency to the next democratic government.
