QUETTA: The 28th session of the Defense Review Committee has successfully concluded after two days of deliberations in Quetta, focusing on enhancing regional security, accelerating development initiatives, and improving coordination among various agencies in Balochistan.
The meeting was jointly chaired by Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, the Corps Commander of Balochistan. Representatives from provincial and federal departments, along with senior officials from key security institutions, participated in the review.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti highlighted that the Defense Review Committee convenes every three weeks to review previous decisions and ensure strict implementation of law-and-order policies.
The committee commended the security forces for their recent successful intelligence-led operations targeting terrorist networks over the past month. Participants also reiterated their shared commitment to completing vital infrastructure and public service projects on time to support the sustainable development of Balochistan.
During his address, CM Sarfraz Bugti noted that these regular three-weekly reviews have led to tangible progress in restoring peace and stability throughout the province, signaling a positive trajectory for long-term growth and security.
