The three-day anti-polio drives has begun in FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan and six districts of Punjab.
Over 6.6 million children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and tribal areas while another 2.5 million children would be administered anti-polio drops in Kasur, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Hafizabad and Rawalpindi districts of Punjab during the campaign.
In Gilgit Baltistan 220,000 children up to five years of age will be administered anti polio drops.
In Kotli district, of Mirpur division 140,000 children will administered anti-polio drops.
Meanwhile, a five-day anti-polio drive begins in fifteen districts of Balochistan today while the drive in remaining 15 districts will be started next week.
Over 1.3 million children will be administered anti-polio drive.
Polio teams will also cover railway stations, bus stands and public places to ensure administering anti-polio drops to every child.
Special security measures are being taken for the safety of polio teams.
