ANKARA: Three people were killed and 14 others wounded in a coordinated attack on the Turkish state-run aerospace and defense company TUSAS in Ankara.
The assailants detonated an explosive and opened fire, prompting a swift response from security forces. At least two attackers were killed during the incident.
The attack occurred during a shift change for security personnel, with reports indicating that at least one assailant used a taxi to access the complex. Witnesses described hearing an explosion followed by gunfire, leading to the evacuation of employees to safety.
The motive and identity of the attackers remain unclear, although various groups, including Kurdish militants and ISIS, have carried out attacks in Turkey in the past. Security camera footage showed individuals, including a woman armed with an assault rifle, involved in the attack. Helicopters were seen monitoring the area during the incident.
