JAMSHORO: Three universities in Jamshoro district, Sindh, remain closed due to the lack of water supply.
According to the spokesperson, three universities in Jamshoro district, Sindh University, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, and Allah Bakhsh Soomro University of Art, Design, and Heritage have been closed due to the water shortage.
The universities were on winter break from December 20 to January 12. Water for these universities is supplied from the B feeder canal of the Indus River, but the water supply has been suspended, leading to the closure of the universities.
Meanwhile, the provincial minister for irrigation, Jam Khan Shoro, stated that the KB feeder is being gradually cemented to supply water to Karachi from the Indus River, which has caused the disruption in water supply. He added that the work would continue for another four days.
