Mianwali (October 28, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said that it is high time that Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, should stop fooling the nation.
“For how long will you continue fooling the nation Shahbaz Sharif,” the PTI chairman said, adding that Shahbaz and his brother, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, have only fooled this nation. “Nawaz has laundered Rs 300 billion but his family continues to be arrogant, and fails to admit its crimes.”

“One wants to gain sympathy by questioning [the Supreme Court’s decision] to disqualify him [from holding public office] while the other brother (Shahbaz) has not done anything to develop Punjab.”
The PTI leader, while addressing a rally in Mianwali, said that all of the development in the province is only in the advertisements printed to promote the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).He promised the attendees that his party if it comes to power, will bring 100 million people out of poverty.
“The crime and terrorism rate has gone down by seventy percent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after the PTI came to power in the province,” he said. “God willing, I will set the Punjab police straight the same way I changed the police system in KP.”
The PTI leader told the rally participants that the only change that the CM Punjab has brought to the police is using the taxpayers’ money to change the law enforcement force’s uniform.“Through amendments and reforms, I am going to change the Punjab police force,” he said, adding that the KP government has made appointments to the police force through pure merit by utilising the National Testing System (NTS).
Imran Khan said that he will hold the rich accountable and make them abide by law if given power.
He said that one of the Sharif brothers has been ousted and the other will also meet the same end soon. He lashed out at the Punjab government saying constables of Punjab police appear as postmen after their changed uniform.

He credited the people of Mianwali for the election triumphs and success of party. While talking about the issues faced by the residents, he said police reforms are much needed here because false cases are registered under current police practices. He gave the example of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police where PTI won the government in 2013 general elections, and stated that police reforms in the province resulted in positive impacts.
Imran Khan criticised the Punjab police for its political loyalties with PML-N. He bashed Punjab government for only progressing in advertisements rather than reality. He blamed Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif for the “undeveloped state” of Punjab.
