Shahbaz Revokes Jati Umrah as Camp Office Notice

Lahore (November 15, 2017): Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday revoked the notice declaring Jati Umrah as CM camp office.

According to the details, Punjab Cheif Minister Shahbaz Sharif suspended implementation of the order to declare Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Nawaz Sharif’s Jati Umra residence as the ‘CM Punjab Camp Office’.

The move came just after two hours of approving the summary by Punjab CM and issuing an official notification related to the matter.

Following the previous orders, the security of Jati Umrah was increased and CM camp office’s commandos were deployed at the residence.Jati Umrah is ousted premier Nawaz Sharif’s private palatial home at Raiwind Road and has also been his camp office in the past.

Earlier in the day, the news of the summary declaring the change of status for the Sharifs’ palatial residence had been reported.

However, after airing of the news, Shahbaz suspended the order’s implementation and summoned the relevant officials, who will decide whether to declare the entire estate as the camp office or a specific section of it, according to sources.Prior to this, the chief minister’s 180-H Model Town residence was used as his camp office since 2011.
