Karachi: The 35th national games scheduled in Karachi has been postponed owing to unknown reasons.
The Sindh Olympic Association has confirmed the postponement of the games.
The association has penned a letter to all respective institutions regarding postponing the games.
The sources said that the national games are being postponed citing scorching heat, heat wave and commencement of intermediate examinations, despite weather conditions and the examinations were all known.
There are no upgradation work completed in the most of the grounds in the city, sources said.
Even logo of the games has not been prepared yet nor the torch relay of the games has been set, the sources added.
Earlier the games had to to held in February this year and later rescheduled for harsh conditons of May.
Sindh has gotten the host-ship after a hiatus of 18-years.
The games were scheduled in Karachi from May 1 to May 9.
