Islamabad: The third national anti-polio drive continued on its last day in the country with the fullest extent.
As per the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) as many as 97 percent children of less then five years have been administered the polio drops in the last six days.
A 97 percent immunization completed in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir administered polio drops to 98 percent children.
On the other hand 100 percent children immunization completed in Gilgit Baltistan and Islamabad.
As per the NEOC, the anti-polio drive has been successfully continued simultaneously in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The NEOC has appealed to all the parents across the country to ensure administering polio drops to their less five years of age children.
Saving our children from polio and other lethal diseases is our collective responsibility, the NEOC added.
