Tennis Star Federer Returns To No.1 Spot After 6 Years

Web-Desk (February 20, 2018): Veteran Tennis star Roger Federer, the record 20-time Grand Slam winner, has reclaimed the No 1 ranking.

Federer last held No.1 ranking in October 2012 after the new ATP rankings were published on Monday. He sent his Spanish rival Rafael Nadal to the 2nd spot.

He regains the top spot after the longest gap of nearly 6 years as he also becomes the oldest man to achieve the top spot.Federer celebrated his return to the top of the world rankings by winning Rotterdam’s ABN Amro World Tennis Tournament on Sunday.

The 36-year-old thrashed Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 6-2 6-2 in a one-sided final, as the Swiss ended a record-breaking week as the new world No 1.
