5 aid trucks enter Gaza after 3 month entire ban

GAZA: After nearly three months of a complete blockade, aid trucks have entered the besieged Gaza Strip today.

According to Arab media, citing Israeli officials, five aid trucks carrying baby food and other humanitarian supplies entered Gaza through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing.

The United Nations has called the entry of aid trucks into Gaza a positive development but stated that much more aid is needed to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region, last week, food security experts warned of the risk of famine in Gaza.

It is worth noting that Israel, violating a ceasefire agreement, halted the entry of all goods, including food and water, into Gaza on March 2, which severely worsened the food crisis there.

Yesterday, following intense international criticism, Israel announced it would allow the supply of basic food items into Gaza to prevent a famine situation.

The Israeli Prime Minister stated that measures would be taken to ensure the aid does not fall into the hands of militants, and Israel would act to prevent Hamas from gaining control over the distribution of aid.
