Karachi (October 28, 2017) Over 50 percent works of coal based power plants of 1320 Megawatt capacity at Thar Coal Field has been completed.
A spokesman of the Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company said that that works on the power plants was underway in full swing and would be completed within the stipulated time.
He said that these power plants would be operational by June 2019.
The power projects, which were being completed under China-Pakistan Economic corridor, will be helpful in meeting the energy needs of the country.
