Rawalpindi: 53rd Martyrdom Day of Sawar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed Nishan Haider is being celebrated today.
Sawar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed was born on June 18, 1949 in Dhok Pir Bakhsh near Gujar Khan area of Punjab, he was martyred on December 10, 1971. At the time when Sawar Muhammad Hussain was martyred, he was only 22 years and 6 months old.
On this occasion, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs and Armed Forces have paid tribute to Sawar Muhammad Hussain Shaheed Nishan Haider.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Sawar Muhammad Hussain showed unparalleled bravery in the war of 1971, Sawar Muhammad Hussain destroyed 16 enemy tanks in the Zafarwal Shakargarh sector.
The ISPR said that the entire nation salutes the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country.
