ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 67 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,058,405.
The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 23,702 on Friday.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 4,745 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has so far conducted 16,336,171 coronavirus tests and 57,981 in the last 24 hours. 954,711 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,157 patients are in critical condition.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 8.18 percent
So far, 27,117,311 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine and 970,536 in last 24 hours. 7,086,742 citizens have been inoculated second dose of the vaccine and 187,897 in last 24 hours.
