7 members of “Fitna-ul-Khawarij” killed in three operations across KP: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Seven members of the India-backed proxy network “Fitna-ul-Khawarij” were neutralized in three separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces acted on intelligence regarding militant activity in Mohmand, targeting their hideout. The operation resulted in the elimination of four militants following an intense exchange of gunfire.

A second IBO in Lakki Marwat led to the deaths of two more militants during a confrontation with security forces. Meanwhile, in a separate operation carried out in Tank district, one militant was taken down.

The ISPR also reported that sanitization efforts are ongoing across all three areas to root out any remaining individuals linked to the India-sponsored group.

The military’s media division emphasized the continued commitment of the armed forces and law-enforcement agencies to counterterrorism operations under the National Action Plan, guided by the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.

The statement reaffirmed the resolve to completely eradicate foreign-sponsored and foreign-assisted terrorism from the country.
