Islamabad: On the 77th independence of the country, the day commenced with 31 gun salute at the federal capital.
On occasion of the independence day, the day kicked of with twenty-one gun salute at provincial headquarters.
Special prayers were offered the Fajar prayers in mosques for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country.
