ISLAMABAD: The 7th Pakistan Pharma Summit and Awards 2025 is set to take place on September 25 (Wednesday), bringing together over 400 senior executives and industry experts from the pharmaceutical sector both locally and internationally.
This year’s theme is “Digital Pharma Transformation: Enhancing Efficiency in Uncertain Times.” The inaugural session will feature National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq as the chief guest, with Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Health, serving as the guest of honor.
Dr. Mehmood Khan, CEO of Hevolution Foundation, Saudi Arabia, will deliver the keynote address titled “Molecules to Markets: Leveraging Global Innovation, Collaboration, and Leadership Insights to Unlock Pakistan’s Life Sciences Potential.”
Dr. Kaiser Waheed, chairman of the organizing committee, confirmed that Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal, the CEO of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, and senior officials from the Health and Commerce ministries, as well as DRAP, will also be in attendance.
The summit will feature several notable keynote presentations, including one from Dennis Hall, Vice-President of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, who will discuss “Innovations in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Exploring Cutting-Edge Applications.” Additionally, Dr. Semih Kumluk, AI and Digital Head at PWC Academy in the Middle East, will address the transformative impact of AI on the pharmaceutical landscape. Pinar Kivilcim, Global Client Officer at Ipsos Healthcare, will present on leveraging market research for pharmaceutical growth.
Other distinguished speakers include Mian Khalid Misbah ur Rehman, Chairman of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, along with Osman Khalid Waheed, Dr. Mahwash A Khan, Aamir Altaf Qureshi, Usman Shaukat, Mian Asad Shuja-ur-Rehman, Dr. Adeel Abbas, and Haroon Qasim.
During the summit, over 50 pharmaceutical companies will be recognized for their excellence in drug production in Pakistan. Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani will serve as the chief guest at the awards ceremony, celebrating achievements in the industry.
