LAHORE: An accountability court has extended judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz until February 2.
Both the leaders appeared before accountability court in money laundering case.
During the hearing, the opposition leader has submitted an appreciation letter of Chinese ambassador in the court on which, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor raised objections.
Earlier, Supreme Court (SC) had dismissed bail plea of Hamza Shahbaz after he withdrew it.
Justice Yahya Afridi, during the hearing, remarked that the issue which has not been raised in high court cannot be directly taken to the SC. The accused should better approach high court after the report of accountability court, he said.
