Web Desk (September 29, 2017): Amid tough security arrangements, mourning procession of 8th Muharram were taken out in different cities across the country and the procession are on the way to their designated destinations.

The mourning processions are taken out to commemorate the sacrifices of Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (RA), the flag bearer of Imam Hussain (RA) led army of 72 people.
In Karachi the main procession was taken out from Nishtar Park after Jumma prayers, which will culminate at Hussainia Iranian Imam Bargah, Kharadar after passing through Numaish, Reagal Chowk, M. A. Jinnah Road, Jamia Cloth Mrket, Light House, City Court and Pan Mandi.
At present the procession is on its way to its final destination at Kharader. The procession will culminate there after Magrip prayers.
In Islamabad, the main 8th Muharram procession was be taken out from G-6. The procession is on the way and will pass through its traditional route and culminated at the G-6 Imam Bargah after Maghrib prayers.
Another procession was taken out after Jumma prayes from G-9 Peshawar More which will culminate at the same place after passing through its route before Maghrib prayers.
In Lahore, several mourning processions of 8th Muharram were taken out which are on their way and will culminate at different places after passing through their traditional routes.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the security of mourners and all the participants being thoroughly checked before entering the processions.
At least nine processions were taken out in Hyderabad.
The main procession was taken out from imam Bargah Buturab which will culminate at the same place after passing through its traditional routes in the evening.
