PIA Announces Hajj Operation 2022 As First Flight To Leave SA On June 6

Islamabad: The national carrier, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has announced Hajj flight operation as the first Hajj flight will depart from Islamabad on Sunday night.

The PIA will transport more than 40000 hajj pilgrims of private and governmental hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

As per the PIA administration, the airline will operate as many as 400 hajj flights in pre and post Hajj operation. The Hajj pilgrims will be transported to Saudi Arabia from 200 flights.

According to the PIA officials, the national carrier will transport the Hajj pilgrims from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan and Quetta to Saudi Arabia. While the Hajj pilgrims will return to country as many as 200 flights.

For the Hajj operations, Boing 777 and for Quetta, Air Bus 320 will be used.

The PIA administration said that the PIA will transport Hajj pilgrims to Madina till June 15 and transport them to Jeddah from June 15 to July 3.

More Than 80 Percent Pilgrims Under Govt Hajj Scheme Completed Training

On the other hand, According to Ministry of Religious Affairs, more than 80 percent pilgrims under government Hajj scheme have completed their training through Hajj camps.

Hajj pilgrims will be informed about the flights through the website and mobile message.

Hajj pilgrims under government scheme will arrive in Saudi Arabia via PIA, Air Blue, Serene Air and Saudi Air.

This year, Religious Affairs completed a six-month Hajj operation in a short span of one month.

Saudi Arabia Travel Advisory For Hajj 2022

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new travel advisory for Hajj 2022.

According to Saudi CAA officials, people aged 65 and over are banned from performing the Hajj this year.

The new travel advisory states that pilgrims must be vaccinated with the corona vaccine approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health, while pilgrims must have a negative corona test 48 hours in advance.

According to Saudi CAA officials, the minister will be severely fined for violating the policy guideline, while action will also be taken for violating flight slots in the Hajj operation.

Saudi CAA officials say a new travel advisory is required for pilgrims from around the world.
