Islamabad: The government is going to start a new project for the closure of mobile phones Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMS) from August 16.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has accquired the data.
The mobile SIMS will be blocked if it was taken on fake Identity card and cancelled ID cards.
The PTA has also decided to shut down mobile SIMS issued on the name of a dead person.
