Islamabad/Karachi/Lahore/Peshawar/Quetta: Dengue virus alert has been issued for all big cities of the country.

Warning has warned of that after monsoon, possible spread of dengue is feared from September 20 to December 5.

The people of the country has been directed to take precautionary measures to avoid the disease.

The warning has been issued for Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Larkana, Multan and others.

The spread of the virus is likely for hiatus of three weeks to five weeks.

The warning also urged the dengue control centers, national health agencies to keep vigilant for the situation.

The health department said that moisture and water accumulation after the monsoon rains has set the environment for growth of mosquitoes.
