Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz visited the first biggest pilot project of shrimp farming .
The CM visited outskirts areas of Muzzafargadh Jhaliarain North.
The Punjab government has completed the pilot project in the record two month time under the supervision of senior minister of Punjab Maryam Aurangzeb.
The CM was informed that first production of the farming will start in October while the shrimp farming pilot project on 100 acres of land will get 100 metric ton production.
The millions of people will get employment opportunity from the pilot project while ten to 20 thousands would get job, the CM told.
The respective officials apprised that a target has been set the land on shrimp farming aqua culture will be extended to 4,750 acres of land.
A target of 50 million dollar yearly and in coming 10 year 150 million dollars will be met on the promotion of the shrimp farming .
A capacity building of 600 farmers will be conducted for a better production under the shrimp farming aqua culture project.
