Lahore: Punjab government has imposed section 144 in Lahore for six days for retaining peace, law and order in the provincial capital.
Under the section 144 all types of political gatherings, sit-ins and protest have been banned.
The home department has issued a notification apprising that the decision has been taken on the recommendation of the district administration so that human lives and properties protection can be ensured.
The notification further apprised that any political gathering or congregation can be soft target for a terrorism.
Under the notification publicity on large scale for the imposition of section 144 has been directed.
