Karachi: The police have made a progress on a matter of spreading false news of raping of girl in private college in Lahore as a woman has been arrested in Karachi.
The police have arrested the women responsible for a days of chaos across Punjab and incurring of loss to the private college campuses in various cities in Punjab.
A case was registered against the accused woman in Police station Gulberg under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act.
However the Karachi police have said that the accused woman has been shifted to Lahore from Karachi while an investigation with the culprit is underway.
In her initial statement, the girl identifie as Sara Khan said that for getting views on social media she has uploaded the video after making it.
The police will prsesent the accused before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for recording her statement.
The police further apprised that number of cases against spreading of false news climbed to four.
