Quetta: New case of polio has been reported in the Qila Saifullah area of Balochistan, National Institute of Health reported.
With this case total number of polio cases in the country climbed to 46 this year.
The affected child marks the second case of polio reported from Qila Saifullah this year, contributing to a total of 23 cases from Baluchistan alone.
In addition to Balochistan, polio cases have also been recorded in other regions, with 12 cases in Sindh and 9 in KP.
This alarming rise in polio cases underscores the urgent need for intensified vaccination efforts to protect children across the nation.
