ATTOCK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati was re-arrested today just moments after being released from Attock District Jail.
Swati, who had been in detention, was freed on Tuesday, following a decision by an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad, which had granted him bail. However, as soon as he walked out of the jail, he was taken into custody by the Taxila police, who detained him outside the prison gates.
Following his re-arrest, Azam Swati was transferred to an undisclosed location. He is facing multiple charges under FIR 2311, filed at the Taxila Police Station in connection with a case that has sparked significant political and public attention.
The re-arrest has raised concerns about the ongoing legal battles and political tensions surrounding the PTI leadership. Swati’s bail had been granted just a day earlier by the court, making his immediate re-arrest all the more controversial.
