Islamabad: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday shifted champions trophy to Islamabad from Dubai as per the schedule the tour of champions trophy has to be started from November 16.
The tour which will continue till November 24 will commence from Skardu.
After Skardu, the trophy will reach K-2 base camp. While the tour will also cover those cities where the champions trophy matches will be held.
It is a first time that champions trophy will start without announcement of its schedule .The ICC announces any tournament schedule four moths before the start of the tournament.
As man’s T-20 World Cup 2024 scheduled was announced four month before in January 2024. Similarly Man’s World Cup 2023 schedule was announced three months before the start of tournament in June 2023.
The ICC champions trophy has been scheduled from February 2025 to March 9 2025 in Pakistan. Whereas the ICC has to announce the schedule of the Champions trophy on November 11 this year.
All the matches of India in the champions trophy had to be held in Lahore.
Owing to India refusal to coming to Pakistan for playing the champions trophy ICC is unable to announce the champions trophy schedule.
