LAHORE: Pakistani actress Nargis has reportedly assaulted by her husband, Inspector Majid Bashir, in a domestic dispute at their home in the Defence area.
According to a complaint filed by Nargis’s brother, Khurram Bhatti, at the Defence C police station, the actress’s husband physically attacked her during an argument. Bhatti further alleged that the abuse has been a recurring issue, with Nargis suffering daily mistreatment at the hands of her spouse.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving the complaint, but sources said they have yet to file an official case against Inspector Bashir. Authorities confirmed that the actress’s family is attempting to resolve the matter privately and is considering legal action only if they are unable to reach an agreement.
The situation remains under investigation, with police noting that a formal case could be registered if the family decides to pursue charges against Bashir.
