KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has stated that in the month of November Overseas Pakistanis have sent in term of remittances $2.91 billion.
As per detail, According to the State Bank of Pakistan the remittances for November amounted to $ 2.91 billion. Pakistanis residing in Saudi Arabia sent the highest amount, $729.2 million and $619.4 million was sent from the UAE while $409.9 million was sent from the UK.
The State Bank of Pakistan has also released details of worker remittances for the first five months of the current fiscal year. According to the State Bank, a 33% increase in remittances was recorded in the first five months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period last year.
The State Bank reported that in the first five months of the current fiscal year, worker remittances amounted to $14.76 billion, which is 33% higher than the same period last year.
In the first five months of the current fiscal year, remittances of $3.65 billion were sent from Saudi Arabia, $2.95 billion from the UAE, and $2.18 billion from the UK.
