Web Desk: Sixth death anniversary of the renowned film, TV and stage actor Ali Ejaz was observed on Wednesday.
Ali Ejaz was born in 1941 in Lahore.
Ali Ejaz, an actor and comedian, who acted in 106 movies including 84 Punjabi, 22 Urdu, and one Pashto film and his TV serial Khawja and Sons and film Dubai Chalo are regarded as his best work, after putting smiles on millions of faces and admirers.
He was well known for his role in a popular television comedy drama series ‘Khawaja and Son’.’.
Ali Ejaz known for his film roles in FBI Operation Pakistan (1971), Sona Chandi (1983), and Chor Machaye Shor (1996).
Ali started his career with theatre in the 1960s, later introduced to the film world by the famous film producer/director Shabab Keranvi who had met Ali Ejaz in a bank.
He frequently acted in Pakistani television plays. While working at PTV, he trained a generation of artistes. His film roles and his pairing with actress Anjuman and actor Nannha were highly popular in Pakistan in the 1980s.
Popular comedian Munawwar Zareef was his school fellow.
He was honoured with the prestigious Pride of Performance Award in 1993 by the President of Pakistan and twice received the Nigar Award for Best Comedian in 1981 and in 1984.
He died on this day in 2018 in Lahore.
