CAPE TOWN: In the second match of the three-match ODI series, Pakistan set South Africa a target of 330 runs.
The match, played in Cape Town, saw South African captain Temba Bavuma winning the toss and opting to field first.
In response, Pakistan’s team was bowled out for 329 runs in 49.5 overs.
For Pakistan, Saim Ayub scored 25 runs, Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for a duck, Babar Azam made 73, and Captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 80 runs. Salman Ali Agha contributed 33 runs.
In the final overs, Kamran Ghulam played a blistering knock, scoring 63 runs off 32 balls, including five sixes. Irfan Khan added 15 runs, Shaheen Afridi made 16, and Haris Rauf scored 6 runs.
For South Africa, Mfuneko Mafa took 4 wickets, while Marco Jansen claimed 3 wickets.
South Africa made four changes to their team for the second ODI, while Pakistan retained their winning combination with no changes.
It is worth noting that Pakistan won the first ODI by three wickets, securing a 1-0 lead in the series
