WEB DESK: Bangladesh has made a formally demand to India for Extradition of Ex Prime Minister Shiekh Haseena Wajid.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, it has demanded the extradition of Sheikh Hasina from India and said that Sheikh Hasina Wajid should be handed over for judicial proceedings.
In this regard, the Bangladeshi foreign adviser said that a verbal diplomatic message has been sent to India regarding the extradition of Sheikh Hasina.
As per news agency, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hasina Wajid’s son did not immediately respond to the Bangladeshi request.
It should be noted that in July of this year, student-led protests against the quota system began in Bangladesh, which later turned into nationwide protests against the government.
As a result of growing public pressure and violent protests, Sheikh Hasina fled the country on August 5 and reached India, where she remains.
