Six people killed in various traffic accidents in Karachi during 24 hours

Karachi: As many as six people were died in various traffic accidents in the last 24 hours in Karachi.

According to the police two people were died after a water tanker hit a motorcycle on Shaheed-e-Millat road while injuring another while tanker driver succeeded to runaway from the spot whereas enraged people torched the water tanker.

The deceased were identified as Syed Noman Ali son of Syed Marghob Ali and Muhammad Israr son of Muhammad Yaseen while bodies and injured have been shifted to a hospital.

In a second accident, two people ridding on a motorcycle were killed after their bike hit by a water tanker on Hub river road near Baldiya town.While tanker driver succeeded to flee from the spot.

As per the police, a personnel of coast guard was killed as he hit by a car near Kathore while car driver left his vehicle after going some distance away.

The police have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) while search for the car driver is underway.

In a fourth accident a car collided with a motorcycle near Chamra round about in Korangi owing to which motorbike fell into a Nullah while killing a person while the car driver fled from the scene.

According to the police in first 10 days of a new year as many as 22 people were killed and 261 were injured.
