LAHORE: Pakistani spin bowler Usman Qadir has officially relocated to Australia as he aims to enhance his cricketing career and explore new opportunities down under.
The 30-year-old leg-spinner, son of legendary Pakistan cricketer Abdul Qadir, has been making waves in international cricket and is now set to take his talents to Australia, a country renowned for its competitive domestic leagues and nurturing talent.
In a moving social media message, Qadir shared his reflections on his cricketing journey with Pakistan.
“Today, I am announcing my retirement from Pakistan cricket,” Qadir said.
“As I reflect on this unforgettable journey, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. It has been an immense honour to represent my country, and I’m thankful for the support of my coaches and teammates who have been with me every step of the way,” he added
Sources indicate that his family is expected to join him soon, as he seeks to make his name in Australian cricket.
