WEB DESK: Israel’s Ministry of Justice has released the list of Palestinian prisoners who will be freed under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The list, which includes 735 Palestinian prisoners, features prominent Fatah leaders Marwan Barghouti and Zakaria Zubeidi.
Israeli media reported that the list also includes prisoners who were sentenced to life imprisonment, but under the ceasefire agreement, they will be released in exchange for 33 Israelis.
In the first phase of the ceasefire, 1,904 Palestinians will be released.
Earlier, Israel had also released photos of 33 Israelis freed from Hamas custody.
It is worth noting that on Wednesday, the Qatari Prime Minister announced the agreement for the Gaza ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, stating that the first phase of the ceasefire will begin on January 19.
