Islamabad: The opposition party in senate, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected PECA amendment act 2025.
PTI senator Shibli Faraz declared the bill against the party while he said that the bill which was brought against us also journalists came under it.
Senator Shibli Faraz said that this bill is being formed to press journalists as well as the PTI.
He lambasting on the government said that the government should ashamed while passing this bill.
It is pertinent to mentioned here that on tabling of the PECA amendment bill 2025 today the opposition PTI and Journalists staged protest in the senate session.
The PTI members chanted PECA act not acceptable while the journalists walked out of the session in the protest against the bill.
