LAHORE: Climate change is a serious problem, making a policy is essential to deal with the losses, said Senior Minister Punjab Maryam Aurangzaib
Speaking at the CPA Asia and the South East Asia Parliamentary Conference on the second day of the meeting of the semi -change Maryam Aurangzeb said, environmental pollution is an important issue that is being taken to tackle. Steps are being taken to tackle climate change issues in Punjab.
She said, policy is necessary to tackle the losses of climate change, various cities of Punjab are working to prevent environmental pollution, institutional reforms are needed to prevent environmental losses.
Further she said, climate change is an important and serious problem, Pakistan is one of the most affected countries affected by climate change, challenges such as water shortage may be faced, emergency measures must be taken to protect the environment.
Zero tolerance policy has been adopted on the use of plastic bags in Punjab, Super seeders have been provided with subsidies to farmers in Punjab, environmentally friendly projects like solar have been introduced in Punjab, Air Quality of all cities should be regularly monitored, said Maryam Aurangzaib
