LAHORE: In the inaugural match of the ODI tri-nation series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan.
The first match of the trilateral series is being played today between Pakistan and New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium.
On the occasion of the toss, Kiwi captain said, he would try to score more and more, while the captain of the national cricket team said the series was important before the Champions Trophy.
On the other side after the toss, Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan said, had they won the toss, they would also have chosen to bat first.
Mohammad Rizwan said, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman will be the opener today, which is important for the preparation of the Champions Trophy.
The Pakistan team includes Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Tayab Tahir, Khushdil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed.
