Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu propose the creation of Palestinian state within Saudi Arabia

WEB DESK: Netanyahu stated in an interview with Israeli media that the establishment of a Palestinian state poses a security threat to Israel. Netanyahu suggested that the Palestinians could create their state in Saudi Arabia, as the Saudis have a lot of land.

When asked whether the establishment of a Palestinian state is necessary for normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel, Netanyahu said that a Palestinian state is a danger to Israel. He mentioned that Palestinians had a state in Gaza, which was under Hamas control, and referred to the events of October 7, questioning what Israel gained from that. He further emphasized that Israel cannot accept a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu expressed full confidence that peace between Saudi Arabia and Israel is possible and believes that it will happen soon.

The Egyptian government strongly condemned Netanyahu’s suggestion of establishing a Palestinian state on Saudi soil, calling it a violation of Saudi sovereignty. Egypt declared that Saudi Arabia’s security is a red line for them.

Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs had stated that the issue of normalizing relations with Israel could not be considered without the establishment of a Palestinian state. The Saudi Ministry emphasized that their position on the creation of a Palestinian state is strong and unwavering, and they will not establish relations with Israel without this condition.

It is worth noting that recently, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans for the U.S. to take control of Gaza. Trump stated that the U.S. would take ownership of the Gaza Strip to bring stability to the region and create thousands of jobs. He said he envisioned long-term ownership of Gaza, with plans to develop it, provide jobs for the people, and resettle citizens.

Trump’s announcement was met with opposition from the United Nations and many countries, who opposed the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and emphasized the need for a two-state solution.

On the matter of the U.S. expelling Palestinians from Gaza, former Saudi intelligence chief Prince Turki Al-Faisal wrote a letter to President Trump. In the letter, Prince Turki stated that the Palestinian people are not illegal immigrants to be deported to other regions. He suggested that if Palestinians need to be moved from Gaza, they should be sent to their ancestral lands in Jaffa, Haifa, and other locations, from which they were forcibly displaced by Israel.
