Lahore: Punjab government has commenced cultivating natural forest campaign on a huge land of 978 acre as a set of measures against smog and environmental pollution in the province.
The work also kicked off making a natural air filter along side bank of the Ravi river for creating a oxygen hub.
As many as 1,05000 trees have been planted on a land of 141 acres while the provincial government has set a target planting 6, 34,000 trees.
Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that Chief Minister Punjab has a first priority to free Lahore from environmental pollution.
The Senior Minister said that plantation will be extended further.
