GWADAR: The four-day book fair held in Gwadar has come to a close. The event, organized by a local institution, took place from February 13 to 16, and saw participation from intellectuals, authors, and poets from across the country.
Publishers from all over the country participated in the book fair, setting up stalls showcasing a variety of books.
Books worth over 2.8 million rupees were sold at the Gwadar Book Fair, including 1 million rupees’ worth of Balochi books and 1.8 million rupees’ worth of books in Urdu and English. The books sold included collections of literature, novels, and poetry.
It is worth noting that in 2023, books worth 1.8 million rupees were sold at the Gwadar Book Fair.
In addition, the book fair also hosted various literary sessions, while regional music and cultural elements added vibrancy to the event.
