K-Electric likely to drop prices by 4.95 Rupees per unit

KARACHI: K-Electric consumers can breathe a sigh of relief as promising news emerges about potential reductions in their electricity bills by dropping 4.95 Rupees per unit.

According to details, there is a possibility of a decrease in electricity prices for consumers in Karachi by 4 rupees and 95 paise per unit.

K-Electric has submitted a request for a reduction in electricity prices, and NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) will hold a hearing on K-Electric’s request.

Request has been made for the monthly fuel adjustment for December; if approved, consumers will receive relief amounting to 49.4 billion rupees.

The government decided to refund additional charges from electricity consumers, which includes a reduction in electricity prices by 2 rupees per unit.
